Tao Yong, Chairman
and CEO, SDR
Mr. Tao has more than ten years of management consulting experience
in electric power, petroleum, finance, telecommunication, IT, automobile
and many other industries. Among his clients are more than 30 American,
European and Japanese Global 500 companies such as GM, Bank of America,
Chevron, Philips, and Panasonic. His involvement included enterprise’s
major decisions, development strategy, business unit strategy, risk
management, Olympics sponsoring, marketing and organizational process.
In recent years Mr. Tao has been focusing on promoting management
reform in large-scale enterprise groups in China, and has introduced
the practice of combining international management experience with
the actual conditions of Chinese enterprises. He innovated in building
t the “in-depth” consulting model for leading Chinese companies
and set a record in Chinese consulting industry by delivering more
than 70 consulting projects for a Chinese company.
He successfully led or participated in many decision-making and
management consulting projects for both global and Chinese enterprises,
including Channel Strategy Project for Shanghai GM, Financial Risk
Analysis of Debt Restructuring of Bad Assets for a major American
bank, in-depth consulting practice for a leading Chinese telecommunication
operator and a major Chinese electric power company.
In addition, Dr.. Tao often gives lectures on decision management
for senior executives in China and delivers speeches on management
forums both in China and abroad. Before he founded SDR in 2002,
he served successively as the Executive Director of Navigant Consulting
Inc. of America responsible for the greater China area and Vice
President of Asian Pacific for Strategic Decision Group. Mr. Tao
received his doctorate degree in Management Science from Stanford
University.
Matthew Meng, President,
SDR
Mr. Meng has been extensively involved in providing consulting services
in the areas of corporate strategies, marketing strategies, organization
strategies and human resources to top-tier state-owned enterprises
and MNCs in China. With 9 years of consulting experience, he has
been directly involved in, and led over 200 projects, including
the first ten-million and first hundred-million consulting projects
in China. He also led his team to provide the first real estate
consulting service and the first operating consulting service to
High-tech Gardens in China.
Mr. Meng worked as a manager in Strategy Division of Accenture China
for 5 years before starting his own consulting firm in 2001. He
received his MBA degree from Edinburgh Business School in the U.K
and Bachelor degree in Economics from Nankai University.
Li Chenye, senior
partner,SDR
Mr. Li has extensive experience in enterprise management operation
and consulting. In recent years, Mr. Li has provided consulting
services to both leading Chinese enterprises and multi-national
companies in the areas such as major decisions, Olympics strategy,
marketing, brand management, product planning. Mr. Li played leading
roles in Olympics Sponsorship Strategy Project for a Global 500
enterprise, Olympics Marketing Planning Project for a leading Chinese
airline, 3-year Operation Objective Development Project for an industry
leader in China, New Business Planning for a leading media company
in China, Strategic Development and Merge Execution Project for
an international company in China, IT Supplier Management Improvement
Project for a leading Chinese telecommunication operator. Mr. Li
also led important regulatory research for clients.
Before founding SDR, Mr. Li served as General Manager of GWcom (China)and
Vice President of Asia Pacific for California Microwave inc. Mr.
Li received his Master degree in Applied Economics from Maine State
University.
He Ping, Senior Partner,

Mr. He has provided consulting services to a variety of companies
in areas of corporate strategy, corporate governance and control,
sales strategy and management, financial management and human resource
management. As an expert consulting executive, he has compiled “Organization
Design Consulting Guidelines” and contributed articles in management
publications such as Business School, China Management Newspaper.
He is also an expert advisor for Management World Program of China
Education TV.
Mr. Heserved as a partner at Alliance PKU Management Consultants
Ltd. He also worked as financial manager, investment manager, quality
management manager, strategic planning manager in different companies.
Mr. He received his Master degree in Economics from Mid-South University
of Finance and Economics.
Peng Ye, Senior Partner,

Mr. Peng has extensive experience in corporate development design,
corporate and business unit management, organization and HR management
system design, brand marketing and hospital management. He has concentrated
on providing issues-oriented consulting services to many enterprises.
Mr. Peng closely followed the development management theories, techniques
and practice, and contributed his thoughts in different publications
such as China Management Newspaper, China Fortune, HR Capital, and
21st Century Talents.
Mr. Peng served as a partner at Alliance PKU Management Consultants
Ltd. He received his MBA degree from North Communication University.
Chen Jian, Senior
Partner, SDR
Mr. Chen is an expert in areas such as corporate strategy, BPR,
organization design, performance management, and supply management.
He has managed consulting projects of major corporations, including
decision management services, corporate and business units strategic
planning, strategy implementation and control for a Global 500 Chinese
enterprise. Some of the projects under his management include procurement
process design for one of the largest domestic motorcycle companies,
overall IT planning for one of the largest domestic automobile companies,
cost leadership management for one of the largest domestic automobile
companies, process restructuring for a leading domestic sports products
company, marketing strategy of a leading domestic wine company,
restructuring and marketing strategy for leading water saving irrigation
company in the world; sales channel planning for one of the major
domestic cell phone manufacturers, and strategic measures planning
and new business planning for one of the Global 500 enterprises.
Mr. Chen worked for Sino-Germany Weidmuller Electrical Connection
Ltd., then served as a senior consultant for SINOTRUST Management
Consulting Ltd. Mr. Chen received his MBA degree from Tsinghua University’s
School of Economics & Management.
Xu Huansheng, Senior

Mr. Xu has managed or participated in strategic development, risk
management and operation management projects for leading SOEs and
private companies. In the last two years, he has led several important
risk management projects, including risk management system development,
for a Global 500 Chinese corporation, as well as risk management
system development for corporation’s business divisions in Beijing,
Sichuan and Guangxin. He also managed services and business organization
design for a leading Chinese company, as well as the strategic development,
budget development and performance management for the corporation’s
business divisions in Jiangxi, Xinjiang and Chongxing. Some projects
under his management include business customer relationship management
for a telecommunication operator in Beijing, strategic development
for a major furniture manufacturer in China, strategic development
for a private auto-parts company, management and operation assessment
for a major daily commodities company, compensation system design
and implementation for a major private company, and performance
management system design and implementation for a major private
company in China.
Before joining SDR, Mr Xu served as Division General Manager for

Ye Jing, partner,

Mr. Ye is an expert in strategic development, competitive analysis,
market entry strategy, and marketing strategy development. In recent
years, he has also managed projects in human resource management,
and accumulated expertise in executive compensation, compensation
strategy, strategic performance management and HR strategy.
Mr. Ye worked in strategy development department of Siemens (China)
and served as a member of the company’s China Task Force. He received
his MBA degree from Hong Kong University of Chinese Language and
his BA from Shan Dong University.
Rui Yi, partner,

Mr. Rui has in the past 6 years led many consulting projects in
the areas of strategy, organization and process, HR and supply management.
Among his clients are the leading exhibition company in China, the
leading Chinese bio-tech information research center, a major telecommunication
corporation, the leading Chinese machinery corporation, the leading
telecommunication corporation in China, a leading international
trade corporation and a major electricity group. Mr. Rui is an expert
in organization design, executive compensation, compensation strategy,
strategic performance, HR strategy and strategy supply management.
Mr. Rui served as consulting business manager for China International
Economic Consulting Company of CITIC, and a partner at MAXSACKS

Tang Xuyun, Partner,

Mr. Tang has expertise in telecommunication and IT industries in
the areas of management consulting, project management, engineering
management and technology researches. He also has in-depth research
and project experience in close-loop management of strategy, performance
and budget as well as management process and business development.
With his proficiency in merging management theories with companies
of Chinese culture and his recognition of management innovation
requirement from Chinese Corporations, Mr. Tang managed 3-year strategic
development projects and related strategic researches for 6 provincial
business divisions of a leading Chinese telecommunication operator
as well as process re-engineering and performance management improvement
projects for other three business divisions of the corporation.
He was involved in other projects such as benchmarking framework
research for a major telecommunication carrier, and strategic planning
project for 3 business divisions of the corporation.
Mr. Tang worked for a major telecommunication operator in network
planning and project feasibility studies. He received his MBA degree
from North-west University and his Bachelor degree of Communication
Engineering from Xian Electronics Science and Technology University.
Wang Junai, partner,

Mr. Wang is an expert in strategic planning, corporate/business-division
management and control, organization and process, HR management,
enterprise culture, SOE restructuring. He has delivered projects
for clients in petroleum, electric power, coal mining, textile,
pharmaceutical, paper mill, food and manufacturing industries; and
managed 8 projects as project managers and 4 projects as project
directors.
Mr. Wang worked for a major state-owned industry group as a senior
manager. He received his MBA degree from People’s University.
Li Guanghao, Partner,

Mr. Li has consulting experience in strategic planning, organization
and process, marketing, HR management, and performance management.
His clients are from industries such as telecommunication, pharmaceutical,
sports products, and consumer products. Mr. Li has led or participated
in more than 8 projects of strategic planning for provincial divisions
of the leading telecommunication operator in China, strategic development
and HR strategy development for merge execution of a US company,
organization and performance management design for the leading Chinese
pharmaceutical group, regional sales organization design and performance
improvement for one of the world top-ten beer brewery, and. regional
management improvement and budgeting management for the leading
Chinese Telecommunication Operator. Mr. Li plays active roles in

Mr. Shi has both industry and consulting experience in automobile,
electronics and machinery, software development, IT consulting,
financial, and telecommunication industries and has led or participated
in different projects in IT management, process management, strategic
management, risk management and operation management. Some of his
projects include strategic planning and risk management development
for one of the Global 500 corporations, partner management program
and rural business development planning for the corporation’s Beijing
division, operation process analysis and financial operation management
system planning for a electricity power group, operation process
analysis and financial operation management system planning for
a Chinese oil group, product architecture analysis and design for
a major software development company in Beijing.
Mr. Shi worked for Tianjin Automobile Industry Group and UFIDA software
Inc before joining SDR. He received his Bachelor degree in Accounting
from Harbin University of Science and Technology.
